Dayton Mason

Dayton Mason is a jazz musician from Ashland, Oregon who has been captivated by the genre since a young age. He is a skilled guitar and bass player and has honed his craft through studying in jazz programs throughout high school and college. He has a particular passion for the rarer forms of jazz, such as gypsy-jazz, and incorporates these unique influences into his own music. Dayton has performed as a solo artist, in duets, and with a trio all around the Rogue Valley and beyond, including opening for the iconic David Grisman at the historic Rogue Theatre. He has also had the opportunity to tour the U.S. with various musical acts of different styles. However, Dayton eventually realized that a constant life on the road was not for him and has since found new musical avenues through recording projects with relaxation and New Age record labels, as well as providing music therapy in clinical healthcare environments. Despite his various musical ventures, Dayton's passion for gypsy-jazz remains his main focus. With over 250 shows under his belt last year alone, Dayton is making a name for himself in the Southern Oregon and Northern California regions. He is a must-see performer for any listener looking for the exciting sounds of old-world gypsy-jazz, or for those in talent acquisition looking to book music for their next event.
