"The world-class musicians in Big Richard initially convened in 2021 for a festival date. The quartet showed up to the one-off like it had been together for years, bursting with jaw-dropping virtuosity; playfully irreverent stage banter; stunning four-part harmony vocal interlace; imaginative arrangements; a refreshingly eclectic repertoire; and a healthy dose of lady rage."
Big Richard's music is a unique blend of traditional bluegrass, old time, classical, modern bluegrass, country, and pop, resulting in a sound that defies genre categorization. The group is composed of four established career musicians - platinum recording artist Bonnie Sims on mandolin, multi-genre musician Dr. Joy Adams on cello, Emma Rose on bass and guitar, and Eve Panning on fiddle - who have united to create an empowering, gender-defying experience.
Big Richard's music not only showcases their technical prowess but also seeks to break through the wall of what women are expected to be. The quartet fills a gap for aggressive and empowered females in the music industry and presents a playground that goes beyond the binary understanding of gender. The group's live performances are entertaining and humorous, addressing terrible stereotypes about women, and presenting the full experience of masculine and feminine energy.
Big Richard's music is both original and a reinterpretation of beloved traditional tunes. The band's instrumental flights of fancy often use traditional fiddle tunes between their original songs. The group has already issued 3 singles, the Live from Telluride album, and is poised to penetrate the Americana music world and beyond with their upcoming full-length album.
Big Richard is a group of seasoned musicians who have come together to create a unique and empowering musical experience. Their music is a blend of traditional and modern genres, and their live performances are both technically impressive and entertaining. The quartet defies gender stereotypes and presents a full experience of masculine and feminine energy. They are poised for great success and are sure to make their mark on the Americana music world and beyond.

Fry Family Farm

Suzi and Steve Fry started farming in the Rogue Valley in 1990. What was then a couple acres on Wagner Creek Road in Talent has expanded to more than 90 acres of vegetables, flowers and berries being grown in Talent, Phoenix, Medford and Ashland. Growing food organically was a way Suzi and Steve could raise their five daughters in a healthy environment, steward the land, and contribute to their community. The girls all grew up working on the farm, they all left and a couple came back.
